一、

When I was a child, my homesick was a small stamp

Linking Mum at the other end and me this.

小時候，鄉愁是一枚小小的郵票，

我在這頭，母親在那頭。

When I grew up, I remained homesick, but it became a ticket.

By which I sailed to and from my bride at the other end.

長大後，鄉愁是一張窄窄的船票，

我在這頭，新娘在那頭。

Then homesickness took the shape of the grave,

Mum inside of it and me outside.

後來啊!鄉愁是一方矮矮的墳墓，

我在外頭，母親在裏頭。

Now I’m still homesick, but it is a narrow strait

Separating me on this side and the mainland on the other.

而現在，鄉愁是一灣淺淺的海峽，

我在這頭，大陸在那頭。

In my childhood,

Homesickness was a small stamp.

I was here.

And my mother was over there:

When I grew up,

Homesickness was a narrow ship-ticket.

I was here

And my bride was over there:

And then

Homesickness was a small tomb.

With me outside

And my mother inside:

But now,

Homesickness is a shallow strait.

I am on this side.

And the mainland is on the other side

When I was a child, Nostalgia seemed a small stamp:

"Here am I and there ……my mother."

Then I was a grown-up, Nostalgia became a traveling ticket:

"Here am I and there……my bride."

During the later years, Nostalgia turned to be a graveyard:

"Here am I and yonder……my mother."

And now at present, Nostalgia looms large to be a channel:

"Here am I and yonder……my Continent!"

賞析

1、作者把無形的鄉愁比喻化爲四種事物,可見作者愁思之重.小時候，作者將鄉愁寄託在給家人的書信裏'所以將鄉愁比喻爲郵票;長大後，作者和家人分居兩地，很難與家人相見，於是將鄉愁寄託在回家的船上，所以把鄉愁比喻爲船票;後來，母親去世，作者與母親再也不能見面，於是作者就將鄉愁比喻爲墳墓;現在，由於人爲的原因，海峽兩岸的同胞不能團聚，作者將自己的.鄉愁比喻爲臺灣海峽，表達了他期盼祖國統一的強烈願望。

2、結構方面：本詩分四個小節，前三個小節爲最後一個小節做鋪墊。作者按照時間順序將鄉愁依次比喻爲郵票、船票、墳墓和海峽，結構嚴謹，很好的表達了本詩的中心。 臺灣詩人余光中先生以“鄉愁詩人”著稱，他的一首意蘊深刻，家喻戶曉的《鄉愁》更是寫出了海外遊子的思歸之情，洋溢着詩人魂牽夢繞的“中國情結”。
