一． 教材分析

這是一篇介紹音樂種類的說明文，具體介紹了the blues,rock,hip-hop,rap和Latin music等當今多種音樂形式，以及它們的特點和由來。

音樂本身就是一個十分貼近學生生活，學生比較感興趣的的話題。而且透過前面Warming up和 Listening 的學習，學生已經學會憑自己的主觀感覺辨別來自不同地區的音樂及聽音樂猜歌的內容，體會其中的餓情感。而本文則告訴我們如何從理論上根據各種音樂的特徵來辨別各種音樂，這將更有利於激發學生的興趣。

二． 教學目標

根據新教材及大綱的要求，我確定本單元的教學目標：

1． 知識目標：瞭解世界上各種風格的.音樂及特點。

2． 能力目標：根據各種音樂的特點辨別音樂

3． 情感目標：引導學生擴大音樂的興趣範圍，並進一步認識到音樂是一種在我們生活中隨處可見、大家共同的“語言”。

三． 教學重點、難點

1． 重點

① 學習並掌握下列單詞和詞組：contain, have…in common with, a variety of, characteristic

② 訓練學生的閱讀能力，幫助學生準確理解文章。

2． 難點：

瞭解不同風格音樂的特點，正確區分不同分割的音樂。

四． 教法

1． 透過Fast reading來獲取有用資訊

2． 透過Careful reading理解、掌握文章的細節

3． 透過Discussion來深層理解文章的主旨，學以致用

4． 透過Making up dialogue拓展所學知識

五． 教具

錄音機，磁帶，多媒體

六． 教學過程設計

1． Lead-in

首先在課間放點音樂，上課開始時，問學生下面一些問題：Do you enjoy the songs I played just now? Do you like music? Which song do you like best? Can you sing it? Can you sing it for us now? 這幾個問題可以由幾個同學來回答。然後叫班中唱歌相對教好的兩個同學唱歌。這樣先讓學生談自己熟悉的歌，一方面激發了學生的興趣，另一方面也調動了學生的主觀能動性。

唱完歌，問學生What kind of music is it, classical music or popular music? Besides classical music and popular music, what other kinds of music do you know? 如果學生回答得出來，就說這就是我們今天要學的內容；如果回答不出來，就讓學生讀課文，看課文中提到了哪幾種音樂。

目的：激發學生原有的音樂知識，自然匯入新課。

2. Fast reading

讓學生快速閱讀課文，回答：What kinds of music are talked about

in the text?

目的：瞭解文章的主要內容，培養學生在短時間內獲取資訊的能力。

3. Listening to the tape and answering questions

讓學生聽課文磁帶，並注意其語音語調。這其實也是一個careful

reading 的過程。然後讓學生回答下列問題。這是本堂課的重點所在。

(1)True or false questions

A. There are only a few styles of music in the world.

B. Blues is a new style of music.

C. Hip-hop and rap are completely different from blues and rock.

D. Ricky Martin as a well-known Lain music artist.

E. Rappers sing the words to their music.

F. There are many Spanish-speaking people in both North and South America.

讓學生判斷這些句子的正誤，並改正錯誤的句子。當提到Ricky Martin 時，用超級連結是屏幕上出現他的照片，並稍微介紹一下這位歌手，因爲學生對此相對比較熟悉。這些問題可讓一組學生一個接着一個回答。

目的：1.瞭解文章的細節

2.激發學生的興趣

(2)More questions

讓學生在對課文內容有所瞭解的基礎上,再回答一些其它的細節問題:

A. Where does the blues come from? Where is it now? Why?

B. Which music style comes from blues music?

C. Why is the blues so popular?

D. What is the characteristic of hip-hop music?

E. In which country is Latin music especially popular? Why? How about in China?

F. If a style of music wants to be popular, ___________.

G. Can you tell me the main idea of each paragraph?

H. Why are there so many different kinds of music in America?

這八個問題中,①-⑤相對較容易,可以在文章中直接找到答案,而⑥-⑧相對較難,需要學生在理解課文和有相應北京知識的基礎上才能回答出來。這是對上面True or false questions 的深化。這幾個問題可以叫幾個同學回答，尤其是後三個問題，鼓勵學生各抒己見。

目的：考察學生對文章內容深層次的理解

學生對文章的主要內容有所瞭解。在此基礎上，讓學生四個一組討論：

b) Listen to some songs/music and tell which kind of music it is?
