一、教學目標與要求

繼續學習現在完成時態和動詞不定式的其他用法,總結、歸納有關看病的用語,是本單元的教學重點。透過本單元學習,學生在能正確講出現在完成時態和一般過去時態的區別,能獨立完成練習冊爲此設計的各個習題,正確率不低於70%。學生還應初步掌握動詞不定式和疑問詞連用及用作定語的用法,自己歸納、小結到目前爲止所學到的有關看病的用語。能運用所學語言對自己的“病情”進行恰當描述;也能從醫生的角度對病人進行必要的詢問和給出一些具體的建議等。

二、教學重點與難點

1.語法:1)現在完成時態 (The Present Perfect Tense Ⅳ) 2)動詞不定式 (The Infinitive Ⅲ)

2.日常交際用語:[看病 (Seeing the doctor)]1)I don't feel very well. 2) I've got a headache and a cough. 3) I feel terrible. 4) This place hurts. 5) I've got a pain here. 6) There's something wrong with… 7) It's nothing serious. 8) You'll be all right/well soon. 9) Take this medicine twice a day. 10) Drink plenty of water and have a good rest. 11) I don't feel like eating.

三、課時安排

本單元共用4課時,每課書用1課時。

第八十五課 Lesson Eighty-five

一、教學內容

1.詞彙(略)。

2.句型:I'll take you to see the doctor.

3.日常交際用語:學習以下看病用語 (Seeing the doctor): 1) I don't feel very well. 2) I've got a headache and a cough. 3) I feel terrible. 4) There is something wrong with… 5) Perhaps she has caught a cold.

三、課堂教學設計

1.複習 值日生報告

2.教師使用如下語言,並藉助表情和表演,引出本課所學內容和部分詞彙:

T: Well, class. I'm afraid I'm not feeling very well today.(以手指頭)I'm having a HEADACHE, and I have got a COUGH(咳嗽幾聲,以幫助學生理解。) Perhaps I HAVE CAUGHT A COLD. But it's not SERIOUS. Yet I'll stay in bed TILL tomorrow.

放慢語速,反覆講一至兩遍。領讀生詞。

3.準備聽課文第1部分錄音。用投影儀打出聽前提問 (Pre-listening questions):

1) What's wrong with Kate? 2) What does her mother ask her to do?

聽錄音一至兩遍,學生回答上述問題。再聽錄音,學生跟讀一至兩遍。

4.兩人一組,反覆練習這部分對話,數分鐘後,請幾組同學表演。

5.聽課文第2部分錄音。學生練習朗讀。然後兩人一組,按課文第3部分要求編寫對話。請幾組同學表演自己的小對話。

6.指導學生書面完成練習冊習題。如果時間允許,可訂正部分答案。

7.佈置作業

1)練習朗讀本課對話,抄寫生詞;2)熟記本課中出現的有關看病用語;3)書面完成練習冊習題。

四、難點講解

1.at the doctor's在診所

這是一種名詞所有格的省略形式。這種形式通常可以表示:

1)某人的家。例如:I saw her at my uncle's last week. 我上星期在伯父的家見到了她。

2)教堂、學校等公共建築物。例如:

Tom studied at Taylor's. 湯姆在泰勒學校讀書。

John lives near St. Paul's in London. 約翰住在倫敦聖保羅教堂附近。

3)某家店鋪。例如:

He bought the meat at the butcher's. 他在肉店買的肉。

He often has snacks at the Pierre's. 他經常在皮埃爾快餐店吃快餐。

2.A: Nothing serious, I hope. 我希望(病情)不嚴重。

B: I hope not. 希望如此。

I hope not. 通常用來表示說話人不希望發生某事、或是對上文含有否定意義的話語表示贊同。這是口語中常見的一種簡略說法。例如:

A: Will it rain? 要下雨嗎?

B: I hope not. 希望別下(雨)。

如果要表達希望發生某種情況、或對上文含有肯定意義的話語表示贊同,用I hope so. 例如:

A: Do you think that we can have more time to play and do less homework? 你認爲我們會有更多的時間去玩,而少做作業嗎?

B: I hope so. 我希望如此。

第八十六課 Lesson Eighty-six

一、教學內容

1.詞彙(略)。

2.句型:1) His temperature seems to be all right. 2) Shall I keep him, away from school? 3) It seems worse than a cold.

3.語法:初步學習動詞不定式用作定語等用法;Has he had anything to eat this morning?

4.日常交際用語:繼續學習有關看病用語:1) What's your trouble? 2) Have you taken his temperature? 3) Open your mouth and say“Ah”. 4) You'd better take him to the nurse. She'll give him some pills/medicine. 5) He'll be all right soon.

錄音機;投影儀。

三、課堂教學設計

1.複習 值日生報告。

2.教師用投影儀打出以下各句。要求學生用 You'd better do sth. 等句式,給出下文:

I've caught a cold. I've had a headache. I'm not feeling well today. I'm feeling terrible. I'm feeling very ill now. I've got a cough. I didn't sleep well last night. I've got a pain here.

針對某一種“症狀”,可以有不同答案,鼓勵學生開動腦筋,儘量運用所學英語進行這項練習。

3.集中講解本課生詞,並反覆領讀,直到學生初步掌握爲止。

4.給學生五分鐘時間閱讀課文(本課計約207個詞)。教師用投影儀打出讀前提問 (Pre-reading questions): 1) Is Tom's temperature all right? 2) Does the doctor think that Tom is terribly ill?

規定時限過後,學生回答上述問題。放錄音,學生跟讀一至兩遍。

5.做練習冊習題1,方法同前。

6.教師扼要解釋課文難句(見難點講解)。

7.由學生小結在這兩課中所學到的有關看病用語(分別見兩課教學內容)。

8.佈置作業

1)練習朗讀本課對話,抄寫生詞;2)書面完成練習冊習題;3)熟記所學有關看病用語。

四、難點講解

1.Have you taken his temperature? 你給他測體溫了嗎?

測量某人體溫、服藥等,常使用take這個動詞。

2.His temperature seems to be all right. 他的體溫看起來正常。

seem的意思是:好像、似乎,後面可接名詞、形容詞、動詞不定式及從句等。例如:

It seems cold today. 今天看起來很冷。

He seemed a very old man. 他看上去似乎很老了。

I seem to hear someone talking in the next room. 我好像聽到隔壁房間有人在講話。

It seemed that no one knew how to do it. 看起來沒有人知道怎麼做這件事。

seem後面可以接形容詞比較等級形式。如本課中這句:It seems worse than a cold. 看上去比感冒要重。

第八十七課 Lesson Eighty-seven

一、教學內容

1.詞彙(略)。

2.日常交際用語:繼續學習用一些有關看病用語:1) Have you taken your medicine to day? 2) This place hurts. 3) I've got a pain here. 4) Take this medicine three times a day. 5) Drink plenty of water and have a good rest. 6) Have a good rest. Then you'll feel better.

二、教具

錄音機。

三、課堂教學設計

1.複習 值日生報告。

教師針對第86課課文內容提些問題,學生快速回答。以下問題供參考:

T: Now I'm going to ask you some questions about Tom. Do you remember where Tom and his mother were? What was wrong with Tom? Did Tom have a temperature? Did he sleep well last night? Did he have his breakfast? What did he have for breakfast? And what does this show? What did the doctor say? Why did Tom's mother say that it seemed worse than a cold? Did Tom want to go to school? Why not? Can you guess? Now let's read the second part of the text and get the answer.

3.開啟課本,給學生兩分鐘時間默讀故事結尾部分,允許學生查閱生詞。規定時限過後,請同學回答教師在上一步驟中提出的問題。

4.領讀生詞,學生反覆練習,直到初步掌握爲止。

5.聽這部分錄音,學生跟讀一至兩遍。

將兩課課文錄音完整地再聽一遍。給學生幾分鐘準備時間,將湯姆看病的故事敘述下來。可以請若干同學“接力”敘述,即每個人敘述一小段。

6.聽課文第2部分錄音。教師佈置聽前提問 (Pre-listening questions):1) Is Kate better now? 2) How do you know?

聽錄音一至兩遍,學生回答上述提問。再放錄音,學生跟讀一至兩遍。

7.學生練習課文第3部分提供的凱特與護士的對話。請同學小結本課有關看病的用語。

8.扼要解釋難句(見難點講解)。

9.佈置作業

1)練習朗讀本課對話,抄寫生詞;2)熟記本課中出現的有關看病用語;3)書面完成練習冊習題。

四、難點講解

1.I don't feel like eating. 我不想吃東西。

feel like doing sth. 想要做某事。後面通常接eating, drinking, sleeping 等詞。

2.Drink plenty of water and have a good rest. 多喝水,好好休息。

plenty of充足;大量。後面既可接不可數名詞也可接可數名詞。例如:

There is no need to hurry. We've got plenty of time. 不必匆忙,我們有足夠的時間。

Little Tom had got plenty of ideas. 小湯姆有許多主意。

一、教學內容

2.語法:小結動詞不定式和疑問詞連用及用作定語的情況;學習現在完成時態與一般過去時態的區別。

三、課堂教學設計

2.檢查學生用自己的語言敘述湯姆看病的小故事,予以講評。

3.準備做聽力訓練。學生用一分鐘時間準備,聽錄音三遍,當堂覈對答案。

4.學生獨立做課本第2部分對話練習。然後兩人一組,表演自己的答案。教師予以必要的修正。

5.學生閱讀複習要點內容。教師結合例句講解動詞不定式的用法。用投影儀打出例句,講解現在完成時與一般過去時的區別(見難點講解)。

6.指導學生做練習冊習題。

7.佈置作業

書面完成練習冊習題。

四、難點講解

1.現在完成時和一般過去時的區別;

現在完成時和一般過去時都表示在過去完成的動作,但現在完成時強調這一動作與現在的關係,如對現在產生的結果、影響等,所以它不能和表示過去的時間狀語連用;一般過去時則只表示過去的事實,不表示和現在的關係,它可以和表示過去的狀語連用。例如:

I have seen the film already. 我已經看過這場電影了。(表示:我已經知道了有關這場電影的故事情節。)

I saw the film last Sunday. 我上星期日看的這場電影。(表示:動作在上星期日發生,和現有沒有聯繫。)再如:

A: Have yon taken the medicine? 你吃藥了嗎?

B: Yes, I have. 吃過了。

A: When did you take it? 什麼時候吃的?

B: An hour ago. 一小時以前。

2.和疑問詞連用的動詞不定式。

疑問詞+不定式結構構成不定式短語,在句中一般可作主語、賓語和表語。例如:

How to get there is still a problem. 如何到那裏去仍是個問題。(主語)

We must find out what to do next. 我們必須弄清下一步該幹什麼。(賓語)

The question is which to take first. 問題是先拿哪一個。(表語)

疑問詞+不定式結構還可用在介詞後作賓語。例如:

He gave me some advice on how to learn English well. 他給了我一些如何學好英語的建議。

I have no idea about when to start. 我不知道何時出發。
