世界環境問題(environment)是當今社會的一個熱門話題。一個好的環境對國家、集體、乃至個人的發展都是至關重要的。那麼人類該怎樣對待所面臨的環境問題?比如說,廢物(waste)的處理;人類對動物的態度。以及環境問題產生的原因(causes)以及造成的後果(effects)會對人類產生哪些影響。本單元透過討論“Wildlife endangerment”來引入社會的環境保護問題,以及“How to protect the environment”。從而增強人們的環境意識,愛護我們的地球村(Earth Village)。ァ

教學目標

功能目標:學會如何表達原因和結果。學會如何表達處理問題的方法。

文化目標:透過學習提高對環境的保護意識,從自身做起愛護環境。

認識目標:掌握直接引語和間接引語之間的轉換。

匯入

模組一:圖片展示匯入

教師給學生展示一些稀有動物的圖片,讓學生說出它們的名稱,從而匯入主要課題“Protect the Animals”.

Teacher: Here, boys and girls, Please look at the pictures in my hands. Please tell me the names of the animals.

Students:Tiger, kangaroo,……

Teacher:They are lovely animals. Right? But the number of the animal is reducing day by day. Why? And what could we do to protect them? Today, Let's read the article "The World Around Us!”

模組二:問題匯入

教師提出問題“是否愛吃肉”,從而匯入本單元主題保護動物。

Teacher: Do you like eating meat?

Student A: Yes .

Teacher: What kind of meat have you eaten?

Student B: Pork, beef, snake and so on.

Teacher: Well, I heard that nowadays lots of people are eager to eat some animals meat. Is that right?

Students: No .

Teacher : Today, We'll learn an article about protecting animals.

模組三:假設匯入

教師讓學生設想:“假如自己是動物,希望世界是什麼樣”來匯入主題。

Teacher: Just imagine yourself to be a kind of animal. For example, tiger, lion, wolf and so on. What kind of world would you like to live in ?

4)Many of the earth's plants and animals have already died out.

地球上的很多動植物已經滅絕了。
