一、知識結構

1.單詞和詞組。

四會:catch fire, look out, on fire, collect, stair, completely, belong to, ceiling, put out, control, fire fighter, get close to, lose one 's life, tea room, bedclothes, stone, wood, light.

三會:in that case, operator, trap, fire escape, wonder, cloth, chimney

二會:fire alarm, Sao Paulo, helicopter, rescue, senior

2.日常交際用語。

3.語法:掌握過去進行時的用法。

二、知識點、能力點提示

+過去分詞/形容詞構成系表結構,表示狀態的改變

eg:Don't get angry, Linda.

The little boy got lost in the great forest.

Many people got killed in the big fire.

t表示"可能""或許",但並不一定表示"過去可能",在語氣上沒有may 肯定。

eg:①Put on more clothes or you might catch a cold.

②John, you'd better stay here, your father might come.

③They might be waiting for us.

that case (=if that happens)如果那樣的話

It may rain tomorrow. In that case, I'll stay at home.

ing oil.現在分詞表示一個正在進行的主動動作,相當於一個定語從句修飾名詞

a burning house=a house which / that is burning 正在燃燒的房子

boiling water=water that / which is boiling正在沸騰的水

the rising sun=the sun that / which is rising正在升起的太陽

r指"樓層",在表示房子"第幾層"時,美國的表示法與我國的相同,英國則有所不同

(1)n.逃跑,逃脫(不可數);逃走的路,逃脫的方法(可數)

Escape from the danger was rather too difficult.

逃離險境是相當困難的。

(2)vi.逃走,跑掉

A lot of people escaped from the fire.

He was planning to escape for some reason.

(3)vt 逃脫,逃避。後接名詞或動名詞作賓語

He didn't escape punishment (being punished).

There's no way to escape sweeping the floor, Jack.

與其它詞的不同搭配。

(1)fire作主語與謂語動詞的搭配

The fire is out/put out/burning/spreading.(在蔓延)

The fire started/broke out.

(2)fire 作賓語與謂語動詞的搭配

catch fire 着火

control the fire 控制火勢

Ⅱ Dear Mr Smith.
