“家園只有一個，地球不能克隆”這句話說的十分正確。是的，我們的家園只有一個，保護和愛護家園是我們大家的責任。可有人，卻故意去破壞環境，傷害我們的家園，傷害我們的地球母親。

在大年初一那一天，我們去市民廣場玩，當時我以爲自己走錯了地方：往日那裏綠草如茵，時不時還能看見花蝴蝶在五彩繽紛的花叢中穿梭着，翩翩起舞着；人們則會坐在石凳上聊天享受着舒適的日光浴；周圍的一切是那麼的整潔舒暢。

如詩如畫的.景象頓時灰飛煙盡。那天的市民廣場人山人海，地面鋪上一層厚厚的五顏六色地毯——全是垃圾，而這些垃圾給清潔工們增加繁重的工作量。在那裏，我還看見了很多隻久違的蒼蠅、蚊子也過來湊熱鬧，現在可是大冬天。草地上也佈滿了垃圾，一陣風吹來，垃圾就到處飛揚，臭氣裝滿了整個廣場，簡直就是垃圾場。

現在，臘梅花已經露出了燦爛的笑臉，與此同時，地上的小草也正在拼命探出嫩綠的腦袋。而人們爲了欣賞臘梅花，卻忽視了地上的小草，亂扔垃圾的同時還腳腳踐踏着它們，有些人還摘幾朵臘梅花拿在手裏玩耍或拍照，真是讓人忍無可忍。

鏡湖在蕪湖市可是個家喻戶曉的地方，外地人來蕪湖必看的一景。現在的鏡湖風景優美，是市民休閒的好去處。可你知道以前的鏡湖是什麼樣子嗎？聽我給你講講吧。

在上世紀90年代中後期，鏡湖的水體呈高富營養化狀態，水質嚴重惡化，水變成了黃色。惡化的原因主要有：蕪湖市某醫院透過地下水道將大量未經處理的污物、污水直接排進了鏡湖；部分素質不高的市民往鏡湖裏倒垃圾；最可氣的是鏡湖風景區的某些工作人員竟然在鏡湖裏洗拖把！慢慢地，鏡湖水變成了黃色，湖面上漂浮着許多垃圾，還散發着一股臭味。來到鏡湖邊的人們都捂着鼻子跑開了，嘴裏還不停地說：“真臭！臭死了！”

一九九九年DDD二０００年，蕪湖市人民政府號召全市人民清理鏡湖。首先，工作人員用機器將湖水抽乾，再由黨員帶頭和市民們一起挖掉淤泥，最後注入清澈的水。我外公是黨員，他有着親身體驗，外公說，那次勞動很累，但改善了鏡湖的水質，大夥兒都感到很高興。

現在人們的環保意識增強了，再也沒有人往鏡湖裏扔垃圾、排污水了。當你來到鏡湖時，你會看到一片清澈的湖水，水底游來游去的小魚，湖水旁婀娜的垂柳和剛長出來的青青的小草。
