During the summer vacation, my mom and Dad took me, and Wesley, and went to Yunnan for a happy week.

Yunnan is the southwest frontier place, beautiful scenery spectacular, make me greatly. Yunnan is home to 25 ethnic minorities, the Naxi Dongba culture, culture of Dali Bai, Dai Pui page culture, Yi culture, have fascinated me.

Arrives at the first station in Yunnan, we came to the spring city Kunming. Kunming is located in the middle of Yunnan Province, surrounded by mountains on all sides. many tourist organizations are directly responsible for this state of affairs. they deliberately set out to protect their clients from too much contact with the local population. the modern tourist leads cosseted, sheltered life. he lives at international hotels, where he eats his international food and sips his international drink while he gazes at the natives from a distance. conducted tours to places of interest are carefully censored. the tourist is allowed to see only what the organizers want him to see and no more. a strict schedule makes it impossible for the tourist to wander off on his own; and anyway, language is always a barrier, so he is only too happy to be protected in this way. at its very worst, this leads to a new and hideous kind of colonization. the summer quarters of the inhabitants of the cite universities: are temporarily re-established on the island of corfu. blackpoll is recreated at torremolinos where the traveler goes not to eat paella, but fish and chips.

the sad thing about this situation is that it leads to the persistence of national stereotypes. we don’t see the people of other nations as they really are, but as we have been brought up to believe they are. you can test this for yourself. take five nationalities, say, french, german, english, american and italian. now in your mind, match them with these five adjectives: musical, amorous, cold, pedantic, native. far from providing us with any insight into the national characteristics of the peoples just mentioned, these adjectives actually act as barriers. so when you set out on your travels, the only characteristics you notice are those which confirm your preconceptions. you come away with the highly unoriginal and inaccurate impression that, say, ‘anglo-saxons are hypocrites’ or that ‘latin peoples shout a lot’. you only have to make a few foreign friends to understand how absurd and harmful national stereotypes are. but how can you make foreign friends when the tourist trade does its best to prevent you?

carried to an extreme, stereotypes can be positively dangerous. wild generalizations stir up racial hatred and blind u to the basic fact—how trite it sounds! –that all people are human. we are all similar to each other and at the same time all unique.

Very often, we are not conscious enough to realize that one little candy wrapper that we threw outside the bus while travelling could one day contribute to the blocking of the drainage system and could cause flooding in the area; we are not aware enough of the fact that the litter we throw away carelessly might one day turn the place into a trash dump; we are not considerate enough to see the tree we attempt to climb might be over 500 years old and can hardly bear our weight.

I think we should understand that travelling should not be seen as something that is human-centered.

It should be understood that when we travel, we should feel honored that we could still see and enjoy the beauty of the world.

We, as a human being, should be responsible for the few of the remaining beautiful places in this planet. Being responsible doesn’t necessarily mean that we are required to do something grand for the environment. It’s those little things that matter the most. If everybody starts doing those little things, I bet it could change the world.

Two years ago, I like to eat instant noodles very much, the instant noodles smell so delicious, because there are tasty flavor in it. “五一”三天的假期我過的可愉快了!

因爲爸爸帶我和小弟弟回到了我的老家------安徽桐城，那裏有我敬愛的爺爺、奶奶，還有很多我最好的小朋友們，我非常想念她們。

5月1日早晨我起的很早，打扮得漂漂亮亮的，準備好給好朋友的禮物-----我畫的五彩畫，就到車站乘車了。車子在道路上飛馳，我的心早就飛到了老家和小朋友們在一起玩了。

車子開了3個多小時，就到了，下車往家走的路兩邊都是黃燦燦的油菜花，可漂亮了，在南京可看不到，我纏着爸爸給我拍照。爺爺、奶奶都在家門口迎接我們呢，我撲到奶奶的懷裏親了奶奶一下，奶奶樂壞了，一手摟着弟弟一手摟着我，在我的小臉上親個不停。我的小夥伴姚瑤、婷婷她們也來了，趕緊拿出我的禮物給她們。

在老家我和夥伴們玩跳皮筋，還和她們一起爬山，我還教她們跳舞，玩得可高興了，一直到很晚纔回家，第二天上午我和奶奶一起到茶園採茶，奶奶採茶我和小弟弟就在茶地裏玩挖蚯蚓玩，弄得我們像個灰老鼠似的。下午我和奶奶到田埂邊採蒿子(一種野菜)回家做蒿子粑吃，可香了，我都兩年沒有吃過了，奶奶傍晚做好了，我一下就吃了3個，把小肚子撐得圓鼓鼓的才罷休。

時間過得真快，我們又要回南京了，又要和我的好夥伴們分開了，走的時候她們都來送我，我的眼淚都快流出來了，上車了，爺爺、奶奶一直送我們上車，在車上我和爸爸說：“爸爸：以後放假我還要回老家”。
