in的用法：

一、 in用作介詞

1. 表示在某範圍或者空間內的某一點，常譯作“在內 / 裏面”。如： The story happened in Sichuan Province. 故事發生在四川省內。 You can see thousands of stars twinkling in the sky. 你會看到成千上萬顆星星在空中閃耀。

2. 表示在某物的形體或範圍中，常譯作“在內，在中”。如： She was still lying in bed at eight this morning. 今天早上八點鐘時她還在被窩裏躺着。 He was so hurried that he left the key in the lock. 他是如此地匆忙，竟把鑰匙忘在鎖裏面了。

3. 表示構成的整體 / 局部，包含在內。如： All the paintings in his collection were bought in Japan. 他收藏的所有的畫都是在日本買的。 We can clearly recognize his farther in him. 在他身上我們可以清楚地看到他父親的影子。

4. 表示在某段時間以後，後面接表示一段時間的名詞短語。如： We’ll return in a few days. 我們幾天後就回來。

Mom will be well again in three weeks’ time. 媽媽三週後就會好的。 5. 表示穿着，戴着。如：

He was dressed in a dark suit at the funeral. 葬禮上他穿者一套深色西服。

The lady in white was in charge of the company. 那位白衣女子掌管着這家公司。

6. 用於描述具體的環境。如：

Now they are still standing in the rain. 他們現在還在雨中站着呢。 They could see nothing in the darkness. 黑暗中他們什麼也看不見。 7. 表示所處狀態或狀況或表示正在進行的動作。如：

I bought the car ten years ago, yet it is still in good condition. 我這輛車是十年前買的，現在仍然很好。

Please put the books in good order before you leave. 離開前把書整理好。 When I entered the room, he was in conversation with a teacher. 當我進屋時，他正和一位老師說話。

8. 表示某事的形式、形狀、安排或數量。如： The students sat in rows on the playground. 學生們一排排地坐在操場上。

When new school year begins, the students come to school in twos and threes. 新學期開始了，學生們三三兩兩地來到學校。 9. 表示所使用的語言、材料等。如：

Please write the composition in blue ink. 請用藍色墨水寫作文。 The young man can read articles written in English and French. 那年輕人會讀用英語或法語寫的.文章。 10. 表示關於;在方面。如： The street was twenty metres in width. 街道寬二十米。

1. 表示在裏面，在內。如：

I especially like coffee with milk in. 我尤其喜歡加牛奶的咖啡。

2. 表示進入。如：

You shouldn’t let anyone in if they can’t show their pass. 沒通行證誰也不能進入。

3. 表示在家或在工作單位。如： Nobody was in when I called.

三、 in用作形容詞

in用作形容詞時的意思是“時髦的，流行的”。如： What do you think will be the in colour this year? 你認爲今年會流行什麼顏色?

She was surprised to find that miniskirts were in again. 她吃驚地發現超短裙又流行了。
