1. a lot of，lots of，a lot，many 與much

1)a lot of 與lots of均爲"很多"之意，用法上沒有區別，後面既可跟可數名詞，也可跟不可數名詞。例如：

Uncle Wang makes a lot of different machines.

王叔叔製造很多不同的機器。(machine--可數名詞)

The African people need lots of food.

非洲人民需要大量食物。(food--不可數名詞)

2)a lot 與lots也可單獨使用，這時後面不加"of+名詞"。例如：

She gave the children lots to eat.

她給了孩子們很多東西吃。

--Did you see any cows there?

--Yes, I saw a lot.

3)a lot 可作副詞，意爲：非常;相當，用來表示程度，而lots 則不能這樣使用。例如：
