My hometown is in the southeast of Shandong, a seaside is a small village. There are about 600 people. Most of them are peasants. They mainly plant wheat, corn and cotton. Some of them often go fishing in the sea.

Great changes have taken place in the past ten years. Now the peasants here use tractors in their work. A lot of new buildings have appeared. Many families own fridges and some even have air-conditioners. In the evening they watch TV as the people in cities do.

There is a primary school in the village. Most of the peasants' children are studying in college now.

介紹家鄉英語作文 篇2

Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). Szechwan is bordered by the provinces of Kansu and Shensi to the north, Hupeh and Hunan to the east, and Kweichow and Yunnan to the south and by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the west and the province of Tsinghai to the northwest. It is the most populous province in China. The name Szechwan means “Four Streams” and refers to the four main tributaries of the Yangtze River, which flows through the province. The capital, Ch'eng-tu, is located in the centre of the province.

From economic, political, geographical, and historical points of view, the heart and nerve centre of Szechwan is in the eastern basin area, commonly known as the Sichuan, or Red, Basin. Its mild and humid climate, fertile soil, and abundant mineral and forestry resources make it one of the most prosperous and economically self-sufficient regions of China. The area has been seen by some as China in a microcosm and is often viewed as a country within a country. The Chinese call the basin Tien Fu Chih Kuo, which literally means “Heaven on Earth”.

My hometown Ningbo is a beautiful, neat and vibrant city, it has a long history, picturesque scenery, abundant natural resources and people's diligence and honesty.

The music fountain in heaven square always attracts people to watch. The water column changes with the rhythm and strength of the music, sometimes soothing, sometimes light, and sometimes intense. Under the water column, there is a row of small lights that change colors, sometimes green, sometimes blue, and sometimes red, so that the fountain becomes color. The coloured water column looks like two people dancing in the beautiful Waltz for a while, then it's like a peacock's tail swaying in the wind, and then spinning to the basket of flowers accompanied by music.

My Home Village

My home village is a small one. It’s in Yuxian county of Shanxi Province. Small as it is, it’s very beautiful.

There are many hills around my home village and they are more beautiful than some big mountains. In spring, we can fly kites which are made by ourselves on the top of the hills. The kites fly very summer, the trees are green and the grass is green, too. It is green everywhere on the hills. There are so many wild apple trees on the hills. The wild apples are nice to eat. In autumn, the corns under and around the hills are ripe. So we eat them almost every day. In winter, when it snows, all the ground is covered with snow. We can play with snow and sometimes we eat the clean snow with sugar. In my hometown the sky is blue, the air is clean, the water is sweet and the people are very friendly. I love my hometown!

My hometown Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, stands on the eastern bank of the Gan River. An ancient city, its origins lie in the Han Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. In the late 1920s Carl Crow described it as a conservative town, surrounded by a high wall which had remained impenetrable even the Taipings, protected by the city god---the Universal Lord of Happiness; although Crow’s book came out in a fifth and thoroughly revised edition in 1933 there is no reference to the uprising or the activities in the soviets.

Modern Nanchang is a pleasant and prosperous city with a growing industry, places for recreation, and many historical sites connected with the Nanchang Uprising. Historical sites include the Plum Fairy Temple, which dates bark to the western Han Dynasty, and the Hundred Flower Islet, which is in the Bayi Park and dates back to the Song Dynasty.
