little； a little辨識

它們都可以修飾不可數名詞，但意思有點相反：

little指"很少"、"幾乎沒有"，表否定含義；

a little指"少量"、"有點兒"，表肯定含義。試比較：

There is little water in the glass. 杯子裏沒有多少水了。

There is a little water in the glass. 杯子裏有點兒水。

a little還可修飾動詞、形容詞或副詞。如：

I like chicken and eggs a little. 我有點喜歡雞肉和雞蛋。

I like to sleep a little longer in the morning. 我喜歡在早上久睡一會兒。
